Paleo Shamrock Shake

This non-dairy and refined sugar free shake is a treat! Add a touch of spinach to make it green for St. Patrick's Day fun!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk homemade or store bought
  • 1 cup frozen bananas, sliced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup fresh spinach loosely packed
  • 1/8 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 tbsp refined sugar & dairy free chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Slice a cups worth of bananas and place in the freezer the night before making the shamrock shake.
  2. Add 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk to a blender. Then add frozen bananas, vanilla extract or powder, maple syrup, spinach, and peppermint extract. Blend until smooth.
    (If your blender is struggling to blend, let sit for a few minutes until bananas are softer.)
  3. If refined sugar free chocolate chips are desired, add and blend until the chocolate chips are finely chopped. Pour into a glass and enjoy.

Notes

Nutritional information is approximate and includes the chocolate chips.
More spinach can be added to make the shake greener. Be careful not to add too much spinach as it can make the shake more bitter.
